SHERIFF’S OFFICERS MAKE SIGNIFICANT DRUG ARREST IN BRADLEY BEACH
Monmouth County Sheriff’s Officers arrested a couple from Bradley Beach with possession of CDS and possession with intent to distribute on the morning of June 8th. Sheriff’s Officers Leonard Maxfield and Rodger Miller went to an apartment on Brinley Avenue to serve a warrant out of Middlesex County for non-support on Oscar Delgado, 41.
Initially, a 15 year old boy came to the door and allowed the officers to enter. Upon entrance the officers approached Delgado in a room and observed partially smoked marijuana. After noticing a strong odor of raw marijuana throughout the apartment, Sheriff’s Officer Jay Aretino and his narcotic detection canine Ari were called to search the house. The canine search led to the seizure of more than two pounds of marijuana.
Delgado, along with his wife Bethann Delgado,32, were arrested and charged with possession of CDS marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. The minor was turned over to the custody of a relative.
“This is a great example of exceptional police work and I commend the officers involved for their quick and decisive actions,” said Sheriff Shaun Golden. “In addition, this reaffirms that our highly trained narcotics detection canine teams are a great asset when it comes to combating the proliferation of narcotics in Monmouth County.”
