ACES 9-1-1
ACES 9-1-1 (Adults Calling Emergency Services) is a video based program that teaches adults the proper use of the 9-1-1 Emergency phone number. The program was developed collaboratively by the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office, Office on Aging and Department of Economic Development and Tourism.
In Monmouth County in 2015, the Sheriff’s Office Communication Division received 670,000 9-1-1 calls of which 125,000 were of a non-emergent nature. At an average cost of $4.32 per call, that equates to $540,000 for non-emergent calls.
