Sheriff’s Office Partners with Jewish Federation to Help Kids Interact with Emergency Vehicles
Monmouth County: Sheriff Shaun Golden was pleased to provide our youths with the opportunity to get up close and explore emergency vehicles through the Touch a Truck program held at Temple Shaari Emeth in Manalapan, Solomon Schecter in Marlboro and Temple Beth Ahm in Aberdeen on Aug. 3.
âItâs our pleasure, to once again, support the Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey when it comes to promoting public safety awareness,â said Sheriff Shaun Golden. âThis is an opportunity for children to explore the different types of emergency vehicles, become educated on what they are used for and meet members of the law enforcement agencies who protect and serve their communities.â
The Monmouth County Sheriffâs Office Field Communications Unit, which responds to large scale incidents and acts as the on-scene command post, was on display at all three locations, as well as a Monmouth County Department of Public Works truck and first responder emergency vehicles from the responding towns. The event was sponsored by the Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey and the Monmouth County Sheriffâs Office in partnership with Manalapan, Marlboro and Aberdeen Townships.
âThis is a great opportunity for our young people in the Jewish community to engage with members of law enforcement and learn how first responders keep our communities safe,â said Keith Krivitzky, CEO, Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey.
âThe Jewish community thanks the Monmouth County Sheriffâs Office, Manalapan, Marlboro and Aberdeen Townships and the Monmouth County Department of Public Works for donating their time to this important program.â
